Warehouse employee – heftruck / reachtruck driver
Job Description
DlaFor a modern and large distribution center in Amsterdam Westpoort, we are looking for an experienced reach truck and forklift operator to work in the goods receiving department (goederenontvangst). The warehouse covers more than 61,000 m² and is equipped with 64 loading docks, making it one of the most advanced logistics locations in the region.
Working hours:
- Full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Salary of 15.39 € per hour + holiday pay
- Fixed day shift from Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 16:00
- Occasional overtime and Saturday work may be required, but not very often
Requirements:
- Responsible and reliable worker
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
- Good knowledge of warehouse processes such as goods receiving, put-away, order picking, palletizing, and loading
- Comfortable working with computers and basic warehouse management systems
- Valid reach truck and forklift certificates/licenses
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Good command of English; Polish, Czech, or Slovak is an advantage
Responsibilities:
- Order picking
- Operating a reach truck and forklift (approximately 20% of working time)
- Loading and unloading goods
- Basic administrative tasks
- Daily work with computers and warehouse systems
- At a later stage, supporting the department manager under the supervision of the Team Leader
- Reporting to the Team Leader
- Contact with the support team and the company
- Handling email correspondence
